Swansea City entertained Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium with Michael Laudrup’s side looking to continue their great start to the Premier League season however the day would turn out to be one which would be very costly in more ways than the two dropped points as they drew 2-2.
Swansea entered this game with a very good injury record for the season, in fact, they had suffered the least number of injuries compared to any team in the league. Swansea started the game with no injury concerns however they lost Neil Taylor to a fractured ankle in the 19th minute after the player landed awkwardly on his own leg.
Martin O’Neil’s Sunderland arrived at the Liberty Stadium without David Vaughan who is suffering with a hernia, Phil Bardsley who has an ankle problem, and Wes Brown who has a knee injury. Sunderland lost Lee Cattermole to a dead leg in the 37th minute of the match.
