Kyle Bartley has been ruled out of action for Swansea for up to three months after suffering a thigh injury.
Bartley, who moved to Swansea in a deal worth £1m from Arsenal, was set to make his first start for the Swans this weekend in the Premier League however he will now be out of action until December.
It has not been made clear how the injury occurred or what the nature of the thigh injury is at this point but it is the second serious injury that Swansea have suffered in the past 10 days after Neil Taylor was ruled out after breaking his ankle when he landed on it awkwardly against Sunderland.
This is the second lengthy injury that Bartley has picked up, damaging knee ligaments when on loan with Rangers in the 2010/11 season.
Swansea have occupied the bottom spot on the Premier League injury table for the season to date however this could change with two long-term injuries adding to their points tally.by
