Swansea City’s Neil Taylor, who was stretchered off after going in to a challenge with Sunderland’s Craig Gardner, has suffered a fractured ankle according to reports coming out of BBC.
Taylor, who needed oxygen as he left the pitch on a stretcher at Liberty Stadium, seemed in obvious distress after what appeared to be a freak injury with no blame being attributed to Gardner for the injury to Michael Laudrup’s player.
As Taylor fell to the ground his left foot got trapped underneath him and received the full weight of his body. Swansea replaced the player with Ben Davies and Taylor was taken straight to hospital where the fracture was confirmed.
The lengthy treatment which was given to Taylor on the pitch lead to six minutes injury time at the end of the half,
At this point there are no details how long Taylor, who impressed at the Olympics with Team GB will be out for Swansea City and Wales.by
