Koscielny expected back for Schalke game for Arsenal

L’Equipe are reporting that Arsenal centre-back, Laurent Koscielney, who missed out on Arsenal’s defeat in the Barclay’s Premier League defeat away to Norwich at Carrow Road, is expected to have recovered from the back pain which kept him out of that match and rejoin the squad for Arsenal’s Champions League tie at The Emirates on Wednesday night.

Arsenal will, however, still be without Abou Diaby, whom Arsene Wenger has stated is a few weeks away from returning despite initial estimates only putting the midfielder out of action for the club for around three weeks. Tomas Rosicky is expected to rejoin Arsenal training within the next fortnight and Kieran Gibbs and Alex Olxade-Chamberlain are also expected to miss out for Arsenal although their injuries will not see them out of action for much longer.

Jack Wilshere continued his return from his lengthy injury lay-off with an impressive display for Arsenal’s under-21 side and managed to get an assist.
