Walcott ruled out of Arsenal’s game against Norwich

Arsenal’s Theo Walcott has been ruled out of his side’s next Barclay’s Premier League game against Norwich and is a doubt for their Champions League tie against Schalke next Wednesday after the winger was injured by the San Marino keeper while on England duty.

Arsenal expect Walcott to miss around two weeks of action and will not travel with Arsene Wenger’s side to Carrow Road on Saturday for the evening kick off.

Describing the incident as ‘like being hit by a bus’ Walcott was taken to hospital after coughing up blood following the rash challenge by the keeper in Friday’s match and it is now believed that he is suffering from a bruised lung which causes pain whenever he breathes.

Walcott has found a starting spot hard to come by with Arsenal this season, however he has been making his presence felt as a substitute.
