It is expected that West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame will miss 3 weeks of action after he suffered a hamstring tear in the 73rd minute of their game against Liverpool at the weekend resulting in the player leaving the pitch on a stretcher. The initial diagnosis had been up to three months.
Speaking immediately after the match Sam Allardyce said
“I think the big problem is Mo Diame because it looks like he will be out for a while. You can tell by the way he went down that it is big tear and it is now up to the medical staff to recover him as quickly as they can.”
It is now believed that the hamstring injury will keep Diame sidelined for the rest of December but the player is expected back sooner than had first been feared.
