Wigan captain out for another two weeks

Wigan’s Gary Caldwell will miss the next two weeks after the player suffered a hamstring injury

Caldwell aggravated the injury during Wigan’s match against Newcastle United on December 3rd.  Speaking this week, manager Roberto Martinez said

Caldwell is still in week one of a three-week recovery period. He missed the game against Reading [November 24th] as he was carrying a bit of a hamstring problem and that was accentuated in the Newcastle game.

It will be between two and three weeks but he has recovered well and in the last couple of days he has been progressing.

He won’t be ready for Norwich but he won’t be far away.

Norwich currently sit in ninth place in this season’s Injury League.
