Baggies expect Long return but Yacob a concern

West Brom are confident that Shane Long will return to the side against Everton after the forward was forced to miss out this weekend due to a dead leg, the third game he has missed due to the injury.

West Brom, who don’t play again until Wednesday week [January 30th] travel to Goodison Park but they could be without Claudio Yacob who was forced out of the game against Villa with a shoulder problem. Yacob had only just returned to the side after missing the previous eight games with a hamstring problem.

Speaking after the game at the weekend, manager Steve Clarke said

Claudio’s damaged his shoulder.

We’re not sure how serious it will be so it’s fingers crossed.

We’ve got nine days until the next game and we’re hopeful we’ll get a few more players out of the treatment room.

Shane has a really severe dead leg.

And I have to be honest, he wasn’t even close for Saturday’s game.

But there’s nine days to the next one and I expect him to be available.
