Speaking to the press this morning ahead of their FA Cup clash with Reading on Monday night, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has given updates regarding the status of his injured players.
Midfielder Paul Scholes is expected to be out for at least another two weeks with the knee injury he is recovering from.
Darren Fletcher is still sidelined with his bowel condition.
Sir Alex confirmed that there are no new injuries ahead of the game against Reading. Sir Alex said
“We’ve come through Wednesday night’s game without any injuries. That’s the best thing, apart from the result of course.”
After an injury-plagued start to the season, Ferguson praised defender Jonny Evans by saying
------------“Jonny has emerged in the last year or so as a top defender, he’s been fantastic. He’s shown great consistency in the last year.”
