Podolski a doubt for Arsenal against Bayern

Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski has revealed that he is a doubt to face his old side Bayern Munich in the return leg of the Champions League on Wednesday.

Podolski, who scored Arsenal’s only goal of the night in the first leg, said on his official Facebook page

Hey guys, I’m slightly injured and I’m not fully fit. But I hope I’m fit until Wednesday. This is very annoying and I miss the pitch and playing football. After training I’ve heard from Cologne’s win over Paderborn. Congratulations FC! Yours Poldi.

Podolski has started the last number of games for Arsenal on the bench and was introduced in Arsenal last game, against Spurs at White Hart Lane,in the 77th minute, while he was brought on in the 76th minute against Aston Villa in their previous match.

He has played a total of 52 minutes in Arsenal’s last four games.

Since his arrival at Arsenal, the 27 year old has only completed 90 minutes in the league on two occasions, being subbed off 19 times and coming on as a substitute four times in his 25 appearances.

It is not clear what this current injury is.
