Injury Updates – Rosicky, Walcott, Zelalem, Ramsey

Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky is a doubt for their trip to Sunderland at the weekend after the midfielder was substituted while playing for the Czech Republic with a thigh problem. Rosicky, who has started four out of Arsenal’s five games this season, would be a miss for Arsene Wenger’s side but the inclusion of Mesut Ozil in the squad after his deadline day signing should help ease the blow.

Theo Walcott, who suffered a very heavy challenge while playing for England against the Ukraine is said to be OK.

Youngster Gedion Zelalem is facing a period of between six and eight weeks on the sidelines after picking up an injury in training. The midfielder tweeted to let fans know that he would be out but did not clarify what the injury was.

Aaron Ramsey suffered a cut elbow after the Welsh midfielder collided with an advertising hoarding during his side’s defeat at the hands of Serbia. Captain for the evening in the absence of the suspended Ashley Williams, Ramsey received treatment on the sidelines to stop the bleeding but was able to continue playing.
