Injury updates – Wilshere, Rooney, Hunt, Williams

Roy Hodgson has admitted that Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere is not 100% and this is the reason that he wasn’t at his best when he played for England against Ukraine last night.

Hodgson said

“Jack is still looking for full fitness.

“That is why we took him off in the second-half.

“We certainly saw a much more effective Jack against Moldova, but he still did his work against Ukraine and, tactically, did all the things I asked of him.”

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have suffered a double injury blow with the news that defender Jack Hunt and midfielder Jonathan Williams will be out until the new year.

Hunt revealed on Instagram that he suffered a broken foot after a freak accident at the training ground while Williams has suffered damaged knee ligaments while on international duty. Williams had only just recovered from a broken leg but still managed to pick up the club’s Young Player of the Year award.

Manchester United

Wayne Rooney could be set to return to action for the Old Trafford side in time for the Manchester Derby next weekend. The forward has been missing for David Moyes’ side after suffering a nasty cut to his forehead after a clash with Phil Jones on the training ground. The club has not confirmed his return and at this point it seems to be media speculation.
