Barcelona’s Jordi Alba has been dealt a new injury blow with the news that the fullback is set to be sidelined for another six weeks after picking up another injury in training as he was working to return from a thigh strain.
Tests have shown that Alba has suffered a strain to the thigh muscle in his left leg and the Barcelona doctor confirmed that he will need six weeks to recover.
The 24 year old has missed the last month through injury to the thigh of his right leg.
Alba has made five appearances for Barcleona this season, three of those coming in La Liga.
