Fellaini trains with Belgium despite injury

Belgian reporter Krisof Terreur is today reporting that Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has trained with the Belgian national team ahead of their World Cup qualifiers wearing a special brace to protect his injured wrist.

It has been reported yesterday that the player would undergo a scan and could possibly need surgery on the wrist injury he picked up which meant he missed Manchester United’s game against Sunderland. Some press outlets [the Daily Mail] were claiming that Fellaini could miss up to seven weeks for United but as we stated yesterday, until the results of the scan were known it was impossible to put any time frame on any potential lay-off.

It remains to be seen if Fellaini will play for Belgium but it is hard to think that he would be allowed to train if there was any potential for making the injury worse however it is expected that the midfielder will undergo surgery after the World Cup qualifiers.
