Sagna ruled out with hamstring problem

Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna will miss their match against West Brom at the weekend as the defender is set to miss at least two weeks with a hamstring problem. Luckily for Arsenal, as well as having Carl Jenkinson ready to step in for the Premier League match, there is then an international break which should should hopefully mean that the Frenchman will only miss one game for his club. The full back will also miss France’s games against Australia and Finland.

Sagna underwent a scan on Wednesday after picking up the problem on Tuesday night as Arsenal brushed aside Napoli in the Champions League.

It is hoped that Sagna will be fit to return for Arsenal’s game against Norwich on October 19th.

Arsenal are still without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski, Yaya Sanogo and Abou Diaby. Of those players still out injured, Santi Cazorla should return after the international break.
