Injury updates Arsenal + Tottenham


Jack Wilshere has reportedly picked up an ankle injury during the England game against Germany. The midfielder, a 64th minute substitute, received a heavy blow to his ankle. There is no further information on the injury than this nor the length of time he could be out for [if any].

Arsenal should welcome back Lukas Podolski [hamstring] and Theo Walcott [abdomen] for their game on Saturday against Southampton which is great news for the Gunners who face a difficult test. Some outlets are reporting that Aaron Ramsey actually missed out on Wales’ friendlies with a hamstring injury and not ‘flu but this has not been confirmed.

Tottenham received good news after it was revealed that Christian Eriksen had not torn ankle ligaments and should only be sidelined for around four weeks. The Dane was injured while on international duty.

Tottenham are also without Adebayor [ankle/foot], Chadli [hamstring], and Rose [ankle/foot].
