Injury updates – Crystal Palace, Fulham, Southampton

Marouane Chamakh is set  to return to the Crystal Palace squad for Tony Pulis’ first game in charge of the Eagles however Jerome Thomas will have to undergo a late fitness test before it is clear if he can take any part.

Paddy McCarthy is close to a return after 18 months on the sidelines but will not feature but Jonny Williams is pushing for a starting spot.

Adlene Guediourra is still sidelined after fracturing two ribs and suffering partly collapsed lung when he collided with West Brom’s goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.


Dimitar Berbatov is a doubt for Fulham’s trip to West Ham on Saturday while Hugo Rodallega and Matthew Briggs remain sidelined.

Manager Martin Jol has confirmed that while defender Brede Hangeland ‘looks great’ a decision will still need to be made as to whether or not he will take any part in their game at the weekend.


Dejan Lovren has recovered from the illness which ruled him out of Southampton’s game against Arsenal last weekend and is set to return to the side.
