Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge has declared himself fit in the run-up to England’s friendly against Germany on Tuesday night.
The Liverpool striker has been struggling recently with a foot problem which has slowed down his great start to the season but he has given Liverpool and England a boost by claiming that the pain in his foot has now subsided.
Sturridge has undergone treatment on his foot in order to be able to play for England an opportunity he appreciates and looks forward to. He also allayed any fears fans might have that it could be a serious injury and he hopes that it clears up completely soon with football betting experts tipping him to be amongst the top goalscorers of the season.
“I’ve had a lot of treatment last few days, I’ve been working hard to make sure I’m okay.
“I’m going to go out on the training field today and I’m raring to go for the game.
“It’s important for me to be fit and to play for England, it’s an opportunity that I’m relishing. If can remain fit, that’s what’s important for me, to be putting on the England shirt and playing.
“It’s not a serious injury so I’m hopeful that it doesn’t continue to linger on. I’ve been playing with it for the past couple of games and it’s been hindering my performance.
“But I had a scan and I’m ready to go, I’m delighted the pain’s not too bad and I’m looking forward to it.”
So with Sturridge ready to fire for England, if you like to bet on football you could do worse than to get some money down on him as an any-time goalscorer against Germany.by
