Aaron Ramsey hopes to be back for Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey is hoping to return to the side in time to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Welshman has been out of action since he picked up a thigh injury against West Ham on Boxing Day, suffering a number of setbacks as he neared a return to action. Initially he was expected to be out for four-six weeks.

Now it is being reported that he has, once again, stepped up his recovery programme and is aiming to be back in the team in time for what is likely to a be a top-of-the-table clash with their London rivals.

Ramsey spent last week in Dubai undergoing some warm-weather training and upon his return was given the all-clear to step things up.

New scans on the 23-year old’s thigh have given Ramsey the go-ahead and his is now pencilled in for a return on March 22nd, meaning he would have missed almost exactly three months of action for the Gunners.

His return to teh side will be a massive boost for Arsenal as before his injury he was arguably the most in-form player in the league.
