Claims United move for midfielder rejected

The Daily Mirror are today claiming that Manchester United have been rejected in their bid to bring former United man Paul Pogba back to the club.

The Juventus man, who left United on a free transfer under Sir Alex Ferguson’s watch in 2012, has become one of the most in demand youngsters in the game. According to the report David Moyes was willing to pay £35m to bring the player back to England but the approach has been rejected by the player.

It is being claimed that the 21 year old has his eyes set on a move to Spain with Real Madrid, but it’s hard to tell at this stage how much of this story is true.

Since leaving United, Pogba has been very vocal about the reasons he quit the Old Trafford side, claiming that Ferguson did not give him enough opportunities. Making just three appearances for United, all from the bench, he might have had a point. Pogba has made 37 appearances this season alone for Juve, the same number he made in his first season with the Italians.

Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid’s SportinG Director, is said to be at the forefront of the Spanish side’s move for the youngster.
