According to reports today, Arsenal are expecting to have Aaron Ramsey back in the side for their FA Cup semi-final against Wigan on April 12th.
Arsenal fans will, no doubt, take this new information with a massive shovel of salt given that Ramsey suffered two setbacks before being slated for a return against Spurs and then Manchester City. He is said to have made massive progress this week but Arsenal are still being cautious given the problems he has suffered since picking up the injury on Boxing Day against West Ham.
Arsene Wenger said that Ramsey was still a few weeks away from returning when he spoke to the press on Friday ahead of their Premier League game against Manchester City so this date would fit with that assertion.
Laurent Koscielny, who is out with a calf strain, could also return in time for the game against Wigan.
Jack Wilshere is expected to be fit for the World Cup this summer, although Arsenal fans probably aren’t too bothered about that at the minute, preferring to know when he is likely to return to the Arsenal side. The good news there is that it will be before the end of the season and could even make the semi-final as well although that seems slightly optimistic.
Mesut Ozil, however, is still listed as a ‘major doubt’ for the semi-final as he continues to recover from his hamstring injury.by
