Schneiderlin on staying at Southampton amid reported Arsenal and Manchester United interest

Morgan Schneiderlin has spoken about his desire to stay at Southampton.

The Saint’s midfielder has been linked recently with a big move to either Manchester United or Arsenal, but he has been reported as saying

“We know top teams are watching us.

“As long as we don’t receive a concrete offer, and as long as the club says they won’t sell,  I will not ever ask to be sold.”

Schneiderlin has been ruled out of Southampton’s game against Everton with a knock to his quadriceps.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, manager Mauricio Pochettino said

“We have the last minute problem with Morgan Schneiderlin who is definitely going to be out of the game because of a knock on his quadriceps.

“That adds to the already known injures of Kelvin Davis, Maya Yoshida, Gaston Ramirez and Jay Rodriguez.

“Perhaps we may have Harry Reed missing through a cold.”

Southampton welcome an in-form Everton side to St. Mary’s who are looking to chase down Arsenal and secure fourth place and qualification for the Champions League for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.
