After failing to land Remy Cabella in the January transfer window, Newcastle United will be glad to hear that the player will be available in the summer transfer window.
The Montpellier midfielder was not allowed to leave the French side in January when Newcastle had a bid rejected, but the president of the club, Louis Nicollin has agreed to allow Cabella to leave despite still having two years left on his contract.
With 14 goals to his name this season as well as a Ligue 1 title under his belt, he would no doubt be a welcome addition to a Magpies lineup which struggled to adapt to life without Yohan Cabaye.
Ideally they wanted to replace him in the same window which he left but Montpellier were keen to hang on to the 24-year-old for the second half of the season.
While there is no guarantee that the player will end up at Newcastle, at the minute it looks very promising for Pardew’s side with the player himself tweeting that he will be leaving montpellier:by
