Real Madrid eye up Newcastle man

Reports coming out of Spain are indicating that Real Madrid have added Newcastle United’s Mathieu Debuchy to the list of players they are considering signing this summer.

The Spaniards are said to be primarily concerned with strengthening their right side and have identified the 28 year-old Frenchman as one of the possible players who could replace Alvaro Arbeloa who has been surpassed in the side by Dani Carvajal.

Debuchy arrived at Newcastle just two years ago but has impressed during his 45 appearances for the side.

It is also claimed that he is admired by PSG amongst others.

Debuchy currently has four years left on his Newcastle contract and while the club are not thought to be actively looking to sell him, he would certainly be allowed to leave should a considerable offer come in for him.
