Juventus to try for Manchester City defender

According to Tuttosport in Italy Juventus are interested in signing Manchester City’s Serbian defender Matija Nastasic.

The player, who shares the same agent as Steven Jovetic, has been identified as the ideal player for this Juventus team and at just 21 years of age is seen very much as a player who can help shape the future of the club.

Nastasic signed for City late in the summer of 2012 for just over £13m and his current contract runs until 2017. He made 13 appearances in the league for City last season and a total of 20 appearances in all competitions however he spent a portion of the campaign sidelined by a knee injury which baffled the City medics for a time.

It is not clear if City would be open to selling the player however the Italian press seem to feel that his agent will play a key role.

Don’t tell me Juventus want to take him on loan with an option to buy him next season for a Panini Sticker book and a ciabatta roll.
