The Dutch press are today reporting that Granziano Pelle is currently in England holding talks with Southampton regarding a move to the Premier League club.
The forward, who was missing from his side’s game against ASWH on Friday, has been linked with a move to Ronald Koeman’s side and Feyenoord’s manager, Fred Rutten said
Pelle is currently negotiating in England.
While Rutten does not clarify with which club in his statement, it is widely held that he is meeting with Southampton ahead of a proposed moved.
Pelle signed for Feyenoord in January 2013 on a four-year deal when he moved from Parma after spending a season on loan with the Dutch side. In his first season with the club he scored 33 goals in just 29 appearances in all competitions while last year he again netted 33 but this time in just 26 games.
He was the first Italian to play for Feyenoord and scored 11 goals in his first ten appearances for the club.
Pelle, 28, has represented Italy at u20 and u21 level and was also part of their Olympic side in 2008, making five appearances.by
