Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos this summer however the player’s agent has confirmed that they are in talks with Real Madrid over a possible switch to Spain for next season.
The player is also in negotiations with Bayern Munich over the possibility of extending his contract and at the minute it is being reported in Spain that the player is asking too much from Real Madrid ahead of any possible transfer.
Some outlets are reporting that there is already an agreement in place between Kroos and Real Madrid, however his agent has denied that this is the case although they are working towards trying to find an agreement.
It’s not clear if the new Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, still has his sights set on the German, but the links with the Red Devils have been strong for some time, even when David Moyes was manager.
Last month, Kroos said of the links to United
“There was a lot of speculation, but Manchester is and was not an issue.”
United old boy, Paul Scholes, has the midfielder at the top of his wishlist, saying
“I love watching Toni Kroos. I think he’s brilliant.
“I love the way he controls the ball and controls games. He can really play a pass and has superb vision.
“Kroos is capable of scoring goals too, from outside the box on either foot.
“I just wish Man United had signed him.
“Yes, it is good to see United bringing in new players, but they haven’t signed anything like the quality of Kroos.”
