Norwich City have arrived in Italy for a pre-season training camp ahead of the new season which kicks-off in a few weeks.

Based in Saint Vincent, a town in the the Aosta Valley in the north-west of the country, Norwich will be training in a region that is popular with tourists because of its mineral springs and stunning scenery.

Norwich will play two games in Saint Vincent. On Sunday 20th July and Wednesday July 23rd they will play at the Piergiorgio Perucca Stadium before heading off to France to face Bastia in the Stad d’Honneur in Sallanches on Friday 25th July.

Striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel did not travel with the squad after picking up a knee injury in Norwich’s game against Braintree on Tuesday.

About the injury, Adams said

“Ricky unfortunately took a heavy knock to his knee in training. He’s had a scan last night (Thursday) and thankfully it’s not a serious cartilage injury, but it is bruised to the bone and he will stay at Colney receiving treatment while we are away.”
