Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira.
The World Cup winner is believed to be available for around £18m as he enters the final year of his contract. Although Arsenal were heavily rumoured to have already agreed a fee for the midfielder, his agent, Jorge Neubauer, has denied this is true, saying
“We are not in talks with Arsenal. I don’t think a fee can have been agreed, otherwise I would have been told.
“When a club have an interest I am sure they will call me and we will speak about things. The same goes for Chelsea.
“We are talking to Real Madrid about his contract, but nothing is close to being decided. Sami has just returned from the World Cup and has gone on holiday.”
