Aguero set for Manchester City return against Arsenal

Manchester City’s star man has finally returned to full training with the team and is targeting a return against Arsenal later this month.

The Argentine posted an update on his official Facebook page which sent to his twitter in which he said:

Picking up a knee injury at the start of December against Everton, it had been feared he could face a far longer period on the sidelines but those fears turned out to be misguided.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini feels that their game this weekend against Everton will be too soon for his talisman to make a return.

Arsenal themselves will be hoping to have a number of their key men back from injury when they sides meet at the Etihad on January 18th.

Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck will both face fitness tests prior to the game against Stoke this weekend while Mesut Ozil is in line for his first appearance since a knee injury picked up at Stamford Bridge three months ago ruled him out.

Mathieu Flamini is also expected to return to the side for the game on Sunday.
