Totttenham to land midfielder Arsenal held talks for – report

Tottenham are reportedly on the verge of landing PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, a player Arsenal held talks for back in May.

The talented 19-year-old is said to be on his way to the white half of North London on loan for the rest of the season according to French journalist Matt Spiro and Italian website Gazetta dello Sport.

Arsenal have been monitoring the player, who was refusing to sign a new deal with the French side, and entered talks eight months ago ahead of the summer window but nothing came of those discussions and Rabiot signed a new deal in October with PSG keeping him at the club until 2019.

Now it seems, despite commiting his future (or perhaps just safeguarding any transfer fee PSG might request), that he’s no coser to breaking through into the team than he was last season.

Making just four appearances in Ligue 1 this season so far (a total of 216 minutes) PSG are, however, in no rush to let Rabiot go permanently and any loan deal will not include an option to buy.

Not a surprise there as there’s no option to buy at the end of the loan.
