Since 2011, the amount of injuries that Liverpool have sustained during the course of the season has dramatically increased. Could this be the reason for them dropping so many points in the Premier League?
During their 2011/12 season, the Reds picked up just 95 points in the Injury League, which is based on how many players each team have out through injury each week. In 2012/13 this score increased to 133, in 2013/14 it jumped to 157, then last season it sky-rocketed again to 216. This season, they’ve already scored 260 and the season isn’t even over yet.
They currently have Origi, Can, Henderson, Benteke, Rossiter, Ings and Gomez all out, several of which have been big players for Liverpool this season. Having such individuals sidelined for numerous games can’t do the team good, which may explain why they’ve dropped the most points (19) from winning positions in the Premier League.
19 – Liverpool have dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the @PremierLeague. Slips.

What’s concerning for Liverpool fans is that, since the problem is only getting worse, it doesn’t appear as if they’re doing anything behind the scenes to get to the bottom of the problem, which means that we’ve only seen the top of the iceberg when it comes to Liverpool’s injury woes.by
