Liverpool’s Danny Ings has returned to training while Joe Gomez is also making progress.
It was announced earlier in the week that Emre Can has joined the first team in full training ahead of the Reds’ Europa League clash against Villarreal and now it appears that Danny Ings has also returned.
Ings, who has been out since October with ACL knee injury sustained in Jurgen Klopp’s first training session at Liverpool, no less, was pictured looking happy and well in the sun during the training session ahead of the European tie. Although it’s doubtful that the forward will return fully before the end of the season, considering how long he’s been out, it’s good to see him making clear progress.
In addition, Joe Gomez, who has almost been out with a cruciate ligament injury for seven months, has stepped up his recovery and has also returned to training. As with Ings, it’s unlikely that the defender will feature much between now and the end of the season but he’s showing positive signs for next season.by
