Second injury blow for Manchester United against Norwich

Manchester United suffered a second injury at Norwich as Matteo Darmian had to be replaced after picking up what looked to be an Achilles problem.

Darmian gave away a foul in the 13th minute but the resulting collision saw the Italian on the pitch in what seemed like significant pain.

Close to the side of the pitch, the United medical staff lifted him over the line but after a few minutes examining his left ankle the decision was made to bring on a substitute.

United then called for a stretcher.

Manchester United had lost Anthony Martial in the warm up after the forward was benched with what was described as a ‘tight hamstring.’

Darmian was replaced by Borthwick-Jackson.
