Arsenal vs Liverpool: Who’s injured?

Arsenal face Liverpool in the Community Shield this weekend in what is the traditional curtain-raiser for the season, so who is fit to play?

Although the Premier League doesn’t start for another two weeks, the Community Shield starts us of this weekend, giving neither Arsenal nor Liverpool much time to get prepared.

Going into theis game Arsenal are in the unusual position of haing fewer injuries than their opponents with Arsenal one of the worst hit by physical issues over the last few seasons and Liverpool one of the best teams at keeping their players fit.

Arsenal injuries

Arsenal have four players out.

Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring)
Pablo Mari (ankle)
Gabriel Martinelli (knee)
Calum Chambers (knee)

None of those four are expected back any time soon with Mari to be in training in September and the rest following after that.

Latest Arsenal injury updates and news

Martinelli will be watching the match from his home in Brazil as he’s not due back in London until 31 August and is out until at least the end of 2020.
