Former Arsenal midfielder, Vlad Dragomir, was relegated to Serie C with Perugia after the lost 4-2 on penalties to Pescara on Friday night.
Perugia and Pescara finished level on 45 points but the two sides went head-to-head on Friday night for the right to stay in Serie B.
Perugia lost and will now return to Serie C after seven years in Italy’s second division.
Dragomir, however, may not remain at the club to play in Italy’s third tier with Perugia as the midfielder, who is still only 21, is said to have plenty of suitors according to the media in his home country of Romania.

How did Vlad Dragomir end up at Perugia?
Vlad Dragomir signed for Arsenal from ASC Poli in 2015.
Once dubbed ‘Mesut Ozil’s heir’ by the press in Romania, Dragomir was signed for €115,000 but released in the summer of 2018 when Unai Emery’s management team came in.
It was claimed at the time he would be unlikely to make it as a first-team regular at the club and Unai Emery and co. made the decision to let him leave.
Dragomir, however, claims he was offered a contract by Arsenal but turned it down.
With a number of offers on the table, the free agent opted to join Perugia where he has made 58 appearances across two seasons, scoring one goal and assisting eight.
Dragomir made 33 appearances for Arsenal’s u23 side, scoring six and assisting two. With a further four assists and one goal in 14 u18 appearances, the Timsoaran never played a single minute for the seniors which is a shame because his name is awesome.
