Mesut Ozil has declared himself fit and ready to play for Arsenal this weekend and after he did that he had a good laugh at Tottenham.

As well as being pictured working hard in training this week, Ozil took part in a Q&A on Wednesday in which he answered a number of questions. Obviously.

Asked if he was fit to feature vs Fulham, Ozil replied:

Given that players receive hundreds of questions, if not thousands, they can afford to be very selective with the ones they pick to answer.

Ozil didn’t have to select this question.

But he did.

Ozil wants Arsenal fans to know he is fit and ready and available to play against Fulham. It is not him stopping him from playing.

Mesut Ozil also took the time to have a few welcome digs at Tottenham.

Asked if he would rather move to Tottenham or retire, Ozil said:

When asked who the best player was he ever played with Ozil picked his good friend Mathieu Flamini because he scored two against Spurs, which, to be fair, gives Spurs far more credit than they deserve when you thin of some of the players Ozil has played with and the opposition he has faced throughout his career.

It’s not clear if Ozil will actually feature for Arsenal against Fulham on Saturday but I’ve got a sneaky feeling we will see him play some part.
