One of Arsenal’s top young talents, Charlie Patino recently signed his first professional contract with the club. The deal coincided with an upturn in form for the u18s, as they overturned a two-game losing streak to win three of their next four, drawing the other.

Unfortunately, Patino didn’t feature in the latest victory over Leicester City, after picking up an injury in the build-up to the game. He was scheduled to start the match but had to pull out at the last minute.

Jack Francis stepped in to take Patino’s place, and Arsenal won 2-1. But they’ll want to see the young midfielder back in action as soon as possible, as he’d played every minute of the campaign before the weekend as a key member of the side.

At this stage, Patino himself is still not sure how long he’ll be out, as the club continue to assess the problem. Let’s hope for good news for the youngster.
